The Round Table Story

It all began in 2008 when founder Marco Delgado opened a small pizzeria on North Pearl Street in Tacoma, WA, driven by a simple idea: bring people together around a round table pizza experience that felt like home. Marco believed that great food, shared at a communal table, had the power to create lasting memories.

What started as a 12-table neighborhood spot has grown into one of Tacoma's most beloved dining destinations. We source our ingredients from local Pacific Northwest farms, partnering with growers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Today, Round table pizza serves hundreds of guests daily, but we still hand-stretch every dough, fire every pizza in our stone ovens, and greet every customer by name. Our round table tradition is more than a concept — it's who we are.

From a single oven on Pearl Street to a Tacoma institution — here's how our story unfolded.

2008

The First Oven Fires Up

Marco Delgado opens Round table pizza at 2629 N Pearl St, Tacoma. With just one stone oven, 12 tables, and a dream, the first round table pizza was served to the Tacoma community.

2011

First Tacoma's Choice Award

Voted "Best New Restaurant" by Tacoma Weekly readers. The recognition validated our commitment to quality and spurred rapid growth in our loyal customer base.

2014

First Major Expansion

We tripled our seating capacity, added a full catering service, and brought in Executive Chef Sofia Reyes to elevate our menu. New stone ovens were imported from Naples, Italy.

2017

Farm-to-Table Pledge

We formalized partnerships with 8 local Pacific Northwest farms, committing to source at least 80% of all ingredients locally. This became the cornerstone of our sustainability mission.

2020

Community Through Challenge

During difficult times, we launched our Community Kitchen program, providing over 5,000 free meals to Tacoma healthcare workers, teachers, and families in need — our round table open to all.

2023

Digital & Delivery Launch

We launched our online ordering platform and same-day delivery across greater Tacoma. Now you can enjoy authentic round table pizza wherever you are in the Pacific Northwest.

2025

Pacific Northwest's Finest

Awarded "Pacific Northwest's Best Pizzeria" for the third consecutive year. We continue growing our team, refining our craft, and welcoming the next generation of round table pizza lovers.

Marco Delgado

Founder & CEO

The visionary behind Round table pizza. Marco has spent 20 years perfecting the art of pizza-making, traveling to Naples and New York to study techniques before bringing it all home to Tacoma.

Sofia Reyes

Executive Chef

A Culinary Institute of America graduate, Sofia joined in 2014 and revolutionized our menu. Her creative seasonal specials and commitment to local sourcing have earned us numerous accolades.

James Kim

Head of Operations

James keeps everything running like a well-oiled stone oven. With 12 years in restaurant management across Seattle and Tacoma, he ensures every guest's experience exceeds expectations.
